Lake Ridge is pleased to announce that we’re partnering with the Dallas Builders Association, Former NFL Players Association and Victory Custom Homes to build a mortgage-free custom home for a wounded veteran.
We’re working with Operation FINALLY HOME, a non-profit organization who partners with developers, builders and donors to provide mortgage-free homes to wounded veterans and widows of fallen soldiers.
Lake Ridge developer SouthStar Communities has teamed up with Operation FINALLY HOME on projects across Texas including the College Station and New Braunfels markets. In College Station, a homesite is being built for Sergeant Monte Bernado and his family (see more here). In New Braunfels, veteran and Dancing with the Stars celebrity J.R. Martinez was also welcomed to a new homesite (read here).
Lake Ridge just launched a campaign to raise funds and the donation of materials and volunteer time to bring this new homesite project to life for another patriot. To complete the home, we need the community’s help. If you or your company or organization would like to support this “modern day barn raising,” please visit our website. We also invite you to a Town Hall Meeting on July 24 from noon to 2 p.m. if you’re interested in donating supplies or building materials. The meeting will be held at the Dallas Builders Association office located at 5816 W. Plano Parkway in Plano.
